Pre-Race Volunteer Opportunities

  • Each of our runners receives a swag bag when they pick up their race packet the night before the race (race packets will still be available to pick up the day of the race). In the week prior to the race, volunteers are needed to help pack swag bags with t-shirts, bibs, and all the other goodies for our racers. More information, dates, and times will be shared with you closer to the day of the race.

  • The night before the race, race packets and swag bags will be handed out at Cooper’s Seafood House to all runners and walkers. Help us hand out pre-packed race information to our participants. More information and times will be shared with you via email closer to the day of the race.

Race Day Volunteer Opportunities

  • Volunteers will be expected to arrive at the race venue a few hours prior to the start of the race to be assigned their positions along the route. Road intersections will be blocked off with barricades. Your job is to help maintain the safety of participants by guiding them to stay on course and ensuring that cars do not drive onto the course. More information and specific times will be shared with you via email closer to the day of the race.

  • To contribute to the fun of race day, we will have bounce houses and other inflatable fun things (weather depending)! As part of the Bounce House Brigade, you will oversee the inflatables and maintain the safety of the area. More information and specific times will be shared with you via email closer to the day of the race.

  • After the race, volunteers are needed to help clean up the event venue. This could include picking up mile markers and signs from around the racecourse, breaking down tables and tents, and overall making sure the area is clean and cared for. More information and specific times will be shared to your email closer to the day of the race.

  • To make sure our participants stay hydrated throughout the race; water stations will be placed along the route. Your job will be to hand out water to participants along the way. More information and specific times will be shared to your email closer to the day of the race.

  • Participants can sign up the day of The Office 5k, to mitigate this traffic, registration tables will be set up near the start of the race. Your job will be to get new participants registered and give them their t-shirt, bib, and swag bag. Additionally, those who have already registered but were unable to pick up their race packets the night before will pick up their race packets here. More information and specific times will be shared to your email closer to the day of the race.

  • The Office 5K is a family event and is open to all ages. This means there will be games and fun near the start/finish line of the race. Your job will be to monitor this space and the games to make sure everyone is safe and having fun. More information and specific times will be shared with you via email closer to the day of the race.
